From May 3 to June 27, the call for the Kenneth Kemble Visual Arts Award will be open, for projects in development, with important cash prizes and professional tutoring for the winners.
For artists or groups of artists wishing to experiment, rehearse and explore, a different call, which one? That of the Visual Arts Award Municipality of San Isidro "Kenneth Kemble", which from May 3 to June 27 will have free registration open, digital, national and for the development of projects or sets of contemporary art works. A contest directed at a very wide range of approaches, procedures and disciplines, with very important cash prizes and professional tutoring for the winning proposals.
In its fourth edition, the contest, which honors the outstanding artist who lived in Martínez and renewed the artistic language of our country in the 1950s, covers a wide spectrum of disciplines, such as interventions, painting, photography, graphics / engraving, drawing, video, digital productions, new technologies and objects / sculpture, performances and many others. For those over 18 years of age and under the coordination of the visual artist, researcher and independent curator Andrés Labaké, also in charge of professional tutoring, the selection and award jury will be made up this year by the graduate in Art History, researcher, independent curator. and director of the Eduardo Sívori Teresa Riccardi Municipal Museum, and the visual artists Miguel Harte and Rosalba Mirabella.
Regarding the cash prizes, this edition will deliver a total of $ 800,000 pesos. The Grand Prize will receive $ 400,000, the Young Scholarship Award (up to 35 years) $ 200,000 and the Resident Scholarship Award (for residents of the municipality) $ 200,000, which will be awarded in stages according to the progress of the projects. In addition, three to six Honorable Mentions will be awarded.
